Try the soft, yet powerful Märzen. It is my favourite from this brewery.

Friedel is the best! Try the Maerzen for a great beer experience. The Vollbier will knock you out

Visited the brewery yesterday and tried the Vollbier and the Lager. Both were dead elegant! I prefer a more robust style (which I found an hour later at superb brewery Barnikel, Herrnsdorf) but have to admit, that Friedel Beer is one of the best of its kind. The tap room as well as the toilets are much too modern for my taste.

Too funny--I was there the day after you were! Yes, the two beers (der 75 Jähriger sagte "ein ist hell, das andere dunkel; willst du die Brauerei sehen?") were indeed highly drinkable. I suppose the Dunkles must be the Vollbier? When we first visited on 1 Mai 2005, there was only "Maibier" on offer under the big fest tent outside; said beer was not a Maibock, however, rather a helles Festbier.
