John Conen, a member of Britain's Campaign for Real Ale, has been visiting this region for nearly 20 years. His book will help you find the beers of this relatively little-known region, and places to drink them, as well as providing background information on the outstanding local historical and cultural attractions for the tourist. Local food and menus are also covered.
This book, the only English-language guide to the brewing culture of this region, has 120 pages including colour photographs, a map of Bamberg, a guide to how German beer is brewed, and a list of all Franconia's breweries.
