| Yes, I think that's a pretty good summary of Forchheim. I like the town (or city?) and have spent quite a bit of time there in one way or another. In the days when I had a sort of dream of buying an apartment in Franken, Forchheim was on my list but it was surprisingly expensive, doubtless because its so handy for commuting. It was the same with holiday apartments, which, from my memory, weren't that different in price to Bamberg, and, even with Neder, lack the attractions of Bamberg. Which is all why I settled on lovely Ebensfeld for my hols but, maybe, this year, I'll tear myself away - the question is: to where? |
