| From the perspective of the city of Bamberg river cruiser tourists are good because they need no town's hotels. Bamberg has too few hotels. New hotels arise but the demand for rooms has a lead (plus 8.9% in the last year). River cruiser are richer, many older american pairs. Near 150.000 cruisers visit Bamberg each year. They give out 29 Euro per head. Apropos new hotels: In Memmelsdorf the brewery Höhn is building a new hotel.with 16 double rooms. They say "with feel good atmosphere" - so maybe a little more expensive Memmelsdorf is part of the net of the buses of the town with a good connection, but not in the evening/night. 8 kms to the ZOB in Bamberg. Flat streets: good for/with bicycles. Around 1 hour walk to the breweries Hummel, Wagner, Göller (Drosendorf), Knoblach, Hoh.
