Ahörnla im Sand, Bamberg, to restart brewing after 60 year break

I'm not surprised to see a small resurgence of new breweries in Bamberg.  I'm only surprised it took this long.  I've felt for a while now that with the popularity of Bamberg as a beer tourist destination (not just foreign but German tourists as well) that there was an opportunity for more breweries to open up in the city.  Now we're finally starting to see it slowly unfold.

Now hopefully the beer will be good.  I'd love to see Ahornla make just a beer or two and really do a good job of it.  A nice malty Vollbier (think Schroll of Reckendorf) would be ideal IMO.  We'll see.

I haven't had a chance to visit Zum Sternla yet but my friends (Ingie and Isa) really liked it.  I know others haven't been as impressed.
