Bamberg Bockbier

I'll be in Bamberg the first weekend of november with friends who are new to Bamberg and Franconia. The list of Bockbier-Anstiche still does not mention Spezial. Could you find out for us, Fred. Also I'm curious about the three Bocks you mention, as I liked them all the previous years, esp. Keesmann. I also thought that the Maisel bock was quite good last year. Glad you guys got to Bamberg without too much problems. One of my brothers travelled from Leiden to Switzerland yesterday and arrived in Basel on time! (but of course he was on an ICE all the way through Germany.) On the other hand, I did not make it to Saarbrücken; when I found out that there was also a strike in France I decided not even to try. But I will visit the Brassigaume festival this weekend, with Belgian, Italian (!), French and English beers.
