Here's what I emailed you earlier, in case you're browsing here but not wanting to log into your email: Today should be very warm--32C/90F--and SHOULD be sunny. Warm, but fine for Stiebarlimbach if you're game. I believe I shall be free for a late lunch or afternoon visit, but not a whole day of it like yesterday. And I'll bug out before going to Kreuzberg--that's just too much beer for my diet these days. If you're up for it, you can take the train to Eggolsheim and then Bus 265 to Stiebarlimbach, departing Bamberg 13.26 and arriving at 14.02 This gets you there before 14.30 when the kitchen takes a break. The pdf plan for bus 265: http://vgn.de/efa9/efa96/roccas/TTB/000005c82.pdf Or a bus from Bamberg: From Bahnhofsvorplatz 12:50 Bus 8227 Bus Richtung: Schirnsdorf Ort, Mühlhausen To Kellerstraße, Hirschaid-Sassanfahrt an 13:14 Connect 13:18 Bus 8247 Bus Richtung: Limbach, Pommersfelden Arrive Stiebarlimbach, Hallerndorf Fr, 20.07.07 an 13:29 The pdf plans for these buses: http://www.ovf.de/fileadmin/fahrplaene/8247.pdf http://www.ovf.de/fileadmin/fahrplaene/8227.pdf Sorry...forgot to note about biking. I failed to ask at the Bahnhof yesterday, as they were closed by the time I was there last night. I don't know how to *call* them, so I think one has to ask in person in order to find anything out. If they don't know what "bike rental" means (which would astonish me), then the word is "Fahrradverleih". If you do bike, I'd recommend taking a RE train instead of a RB--the bike access is superiour, as well as the modernity and speed of the train. Then get off at Hirschaid and head W-SW through town to the bridge over the Kanal. On the far (W) side of the Kanal, see the path along the Kanal, get down to it and follow it S toward ...hell, you've got the right map! Going through Seußling-Trailsdorf-Hallerndof-Stiebarlimbach is the shortest route, but you have a small uphill climb into Seußling. [apologies to Fred for hijacking the board!]
