As far as I can check, Nick is right. It takes at least 1:45 to get there by train and bus (trains Bamberg-Forchheim-Ebermannstadt, buses Eb.-Behringersmühle-Waischenfeld), and then I estimate 1250 meters to walk. There are not that many connection, and it is near impossible to get there by bus & train during the weekend. Another option you might want to consider: using bicycles from Ebermannstadt. You could rent them there, but also bring them from Bamberg by train; bicycles go free on RB and RE trains in large parts ot Oberfranken (Upper Franconia). More info on this map: http://www.bahn.de/p/view_nav4/mdb/alle/dbregio/fahrrad/bahn_und_bike_2006/MDB23023-bay_kostenl_franken.pdf You of course need one bike with a special seat for the child. All this looking into connections makes me want to go to Bamberg again soon. Should be there in about two months time. Jan
