Hi Mat,

the European Economic Crisis still takes place outside Germany. The region Bamberg is booming. Full employment. 500 to 1.200 new employees in the next years at a new factory of Brose in Bamberg, many new students etc.

A must view is the restaurant/pub/Biergarten Drei Kronen in Strassgiech, opened in spring 2011.

Food cooked with beer, good beers from Andy Gänstaller (named "Drei Kronen" in this pub.
You should contact Andy (maybe per Facebook) to get a beer tasting of his special, strong beers which are not part of the regular beer menu of the pub (p.e. Affumicator, Quator etc.)

We have talked about this new "Gasthaus". Good franconian food, nice beers (Huppendorfer Vollbier, Gänstaller Zwicklpils, house beer "Eckers", brewed by the Brewery Drei Kronen in Memmelsdorf, Rittmayer Hefeweizen, Schlenkerla.
