Hello all! Great site. Now I have another way to pass away
hours of time when I should be preparing for my trip in other
ways! Oh well... My girlfriend and I will be arriving in
Bamberg on Tuesday July 24th, and staying through Friday the
27th. Not much time, we know, so we hope to make the best of it.
A pilgrimage to Bamberg has been a goal of mine since my first
sip of Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier several years ago, but until
recently I had no idea of the rich brewing culture of the city
and its Franconian region. One thing I discovered in my research
that sounds really neat is the Funf Seidla Steig, and weather
permitting we want to make this hike! However, we don't want to
drive our rental car to and from the hike, for obvious reasons
(after consuming funf Seidlas!) and wonder if there are any
public transports that can get us there and back. I know there's
a train from Nuremburg to Weissnohe (fairly pricey as I recall),
but that begs the question of how to get to Nuremburg and back.
Any advice from the forum will be much appreciated. Prosit! |
