Upcoming visit

Thanks Nick, for your suggestions. Is that three-hours train
travel time the roundtrip time, or each way? I suspect it must
be roundtrip, but then there's the challenge for Auslander in
negotiating the schedule and ticketing and all, which can cause
further delay.
The pubs at the beginning of the hike open at 1100, so if we
start out from Bamberg around 0900 we'd time it well, although
admittedly we wouldn't complete the expedition and be back in
Bamberg until late afternoon in any case.
We appreciate the fact that there's much to see and do in Bamberg
that could tempt us to stay within the town limits during such a
short visit, but the Fünf-Seidla-Steig just seems like such a
cool thing to do, with major bragging rights attached when we
return home, that it really appeals.
The major hurdle is the fact that the fifth brewery is closed the
day we'll make the hike. I'm pleading with them via email to
accommodate us somehow. Fingers crossed!
