OT: High Speed RE Munich-Bamberg
Posted by Nick B. on 3/11/2012 4:57:29 AM
The new high speed ICE line between Munich and Nuremberg also provides for improved high speed RE service every two hours. It runs on trains that are normally "IC", up to 250 kph IIRC, and takes 1h:44m instead of an hour longer along the old RE line. For the same Bayern Ticket price.

What's really cool about it is you can stand up front and watch through the cockpit, flying along through the new tunnels and stuff. It's pretty impressive.
