Bernsteines...Bernsteinfarbiges

Is my assumption that people don't say "bernsteines Bier" (amber beer), rather "bernsteinfarbiges (or -farbenes) Bier" (amber-colo(u)red / amber-hued) more or less right?

I simply can't recall ever seeing colo(u)rs used explicitly as declinated adjectives with beer, just helles / dunkles (pale / dark). Braunbier, Rotbier, Schwarzbier, etc., are all composite nouns.

Gibt's eine/-n Germanistin/-en im Haus?
