Kellerbier v. Real Ale
Posted by m artello on 2007-09-04 12:27:31
The beer that most of us would regognize as "real ale" should really be refered to as cask conditioned ale, and there in lies the rub,It should be primed at the point of casking,or casked a little before fermantation has finished,so as to allow conditioning in cask before serving.now you real francon beer experts put me right if i am wrong, but i dont think any german(franconian)brewers do it this way?that being said i dont think either is superior to the other, just differant,I too like the term "real beer" cheers!
