Drinks warehouses

Be aware that beer from most small(er) franconian breweries has a very limited shelf life (typical just weeks or months). In discussions with Frank Boon I learned that it is recommended to store those beers like diary products - refrigerated. So stocking up for the winter might not be a very good idea, and you might also need a refrigerated storing facility. Although after this weekend's CAMRA AGM I get more and more the feeling that the britons don't really care about the quality of beer: the CAMRA taliban have reconfirmed their fatwa on CO2. Having said that, there is a beer store in Hallstadt (actually in the industrial zone in the north that is usually mistaken as part of Bamberg): Lesswing, Michelinstrasse - although it may have changed its name as I heard rumours of a take-over some time ago). They have a reasonable interesting range of local/regional beers. Also the Rewe on Würzburgerstrasse stocks quite an interesting range. You might also try the toom in Emil-Kemmer strasse (near the Ertl shopping centre in Hallstadt/Bamberg-Nord). Other options do indeed include the individual breweries.
